Woodburn’s Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

March 23 – April 29, 2018

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival boasts over 40 acres of tulips on display where you can wander through rows upon rows of colors. This festival also features tulip and daffodil display beds, hay wagon or cow train rides and a children’s area with duck races, slides, and swings. There is also a tulip market to take cut flowers or bulbs home for yourself. The drink and food options include Wooden Shoe Vineyards Tasting Room and local favorite Mt. Angel Sausage Company serving up their famous brats and franks.

Florence Rhododendron Festival

May 16 – May 20, 2018

At over 110 years old, this Oregon coast festival has it all: a Grand Floral Parade, car shows, road race events, arts festival, motorcycle show, BBQ and pie sale, vendor fair, and festival flower show & sale. This weekend event also spills over on either end with even more Central Coast events like a triathlon and karaoke contest as well.

Keizer Iris Festival

May 17 – May 20, 2018

Located very close to Salem, the iris is featured at the Keizer Iris Festival, which takes place at Schreiner’s Iris Gardens. Over 500 different types of Irises of all colors and varieties are on display. This year’s event is chock full of things to do: from a car show to the main parade and the KeizerFest Brews & Wine event. There is also a series of road races from 3k, 5k, and 10k on up to the half and full marathons for runners. And for entertainment, there’s a carnival, stages full of live music, and even a golf tournament.

Oregon Lavender DAZE Festival

July 21, 2018

This annual lavender extravaganza out of Hood River, Oregon offers the stunning vistas of the Columbia Gorge along with live music, plenty of food and wine, and more than two dozen vendors. There are also craft classes, fields of u-pick lavender, and fun kids’ activities like last year’s ladybug release party.

Annual Dahlia Festival

August 25, 26, & 27 and September 1, 2, & 3, 2018
Located on Swan Island – just a short drive away from Portland’s city center, the Swan Island Dahlia Farm offers two weekends full of flowery festivities this year. With 400 floral arrangements of dahlias and over 15,000 cut dahlia blooms on display, this is the biggest presentation put on by one grower in the United States! They also have a variety of food booths and family-orientated activities.
