Have you wondered how to rent the perfect motorhome for your next trip to our luxury RV park in Salem? Does looking at all of the available options leave you feeling confused and wondering which you should choose? If so, then you’re in luck. Let’s look at the difference between Class A, B, and C motorhomes so you’ll have a better idea of which to pick for your next trip to our luxury RV park in Salem.

Class A Motorhomes

Class A motorhomes are built on large, heavy-duty frames similar to those of commercial trucks or buses.  To give you a better idea about the type of vehicle you’ll be driving, Class A RVs are similar builds to 18-wheeler trucks. This large size and ample 22.5-inch wheelbase can support a heavy load, making the Class A the biggest and most luxurious RV on the market.

The two most defining traits of the Class A motorhome are ample storage space and a roomy interior. There are usually a minimum of two slid-outs. Between two to four people can sleep in the motorhome, as most models feature a bedroom at the back of the cab and couches that fold down into beds in the living area. If you want to travel in style with all of the creature comforts of home, this is the model for you.

Class B Motorhomes

Class B motorhomes look similar to an oversized van from the exterior, which is why they’re often referred to as “camper vans.” The van’s interior has standing room space, a kitchen, a living area, and a bathroom. While the van does include these amenities, space is at a premium, so everything is on the small side.

Most Class B motorhomes don’t feature slide-outs. However, their small size makes them the easiest to drive, and they have the best fuel economy. Class B motorhomes feature very little room for storage since interior space is at a premium. If value is more important than luxury, you may want to consider a Class B RV. They are typically the least expensive of the Class, A, B, and Cs.

Class C Motorhomes

The Class C RV sits as a compromise between the A and B. They are built with a cabin chassis and are easy to spot by their over-cab sleeping area. Placing the sleeping area over the cab provides more space in the living area, which can accommodate between four to eight people. The Class C can tow a car separately, which provides you the convenience of leaving your RV at our luxury RV park in Salem and still being able to get around town.

The Class C RVs get gas mileage somewhere between the A and B. You may want to give the Class C a look if you have a larger family and are interested in towing a car or don’t want the hassle of driving your RV to all locations.

Owning your own RV offers the freedom to travel like never before. Of course, picking the right RV for your lifestyle makes all the difference. Buy a too-small vehicle, and you’ll need to upgrade. Buy one too large, and you’ve spent more money than needed. Hopefully, this guide can help you better determine which type of RV is right for you.
